Yes – it’s showing 6 pending activations. These are new users who signed up in the last 2 days…but when I go to “users” I have 2300. And, when I go to “members” only those 10 accounts that I activated...

But won’t WordPress USERS, who are not showing up as BuddyPress MEMBERS, be activated as MEMBERS once they login for the first time?
